What's Actually Included When You Buy a CPAP
A CPAP machine is only part of it. Here's the full care bundle Respyre includes with every unit, from home setup to ongoing support.
If you're asking what's included when you buy a CPAP, the honest short answer is: more than the box. The CPAP care bundle that comes with every Respyre unit is home setup by a licensed RT, patient education, follow-up support, the manufacturer warranty, and the consumables you'd otherwise be buying separately in your first month.
We could just hand you a box and wave you off toward a YouTube tutorial. That would genuinely be easier for us. It also felt like a bad way to run a company that's supposed to be helping people breathe better, not just moving machines, so we didn't build it that way.
The CPAP Care Bundle, Item by Item
RT home setup. A licensed respiratory therapist comes to your house, delivers the machine, fits the mask to the actual person using it, and configures the device to the settings your doctor prescribed. This isn't a courier drop-off with a manual taped to the box.
Patient education. She walks you and whoever else is in the house through how to use it, out loud, in the room where it'll actually be used, not through a QR code linking to a generic video that assumes you already know what a humidifier chamber is.
Follow-up support. If something feels off in the first week, that's a message to us, not a mystery you sit with alone. Mask still leaking after three nights, pressure feels wrong, something's making a noise it shouldn't, you get a real answer from someone who knows the machine and, more importantly, knows your setup.
Warranty. The manufacturer's warranty on the unit itself, kept intact and honored, not something that quietly voids the moment you buy from us instead of somewhere else.
Consumables included. The mask and tubing that come with the unit at purchase, so you're not discovering on day two that the thing you actually need to start using the machine wasn't in the box after all.
Why we bundle it instead of pricing it apart
Selling just the machine is a simpler business, genuinely. Fewer moving parts, fewer follow-up messages, fewer visits to schedule. But a machine that's never been fitted properly, set up correctly, or explained to the person using it needs exactly the same thing a machine alone can't provide: someone who checks it's actually working right, and stays reachable when it isn't. That's the whole reason the RT visit exists, and why we build it into the price instead of treating it as optional. We sell breathing better, not machines, and a machine alone doesn't do that on its own.
What this doesn't mean
It doesn't mean every accessory forever is free, or that follow-up support has no limits, or that the bundle replaces a doctor's role in diagnosis and prescription, which stays entirely medical and entirely theirs. It means the basics of actually getting started, correctly, aren't an extra line item you find out about after you've already paid.
If you're comparing machines next
Once you know what comes with the purchase, the next real question is usually which machine actually fits the person you're buying it for, CPAP or BiPAP, which brand, which features are worth paying for and which aren't. Our machines page lays out the full lineup with what each one actually does, so you can compare with the bundle already factored in rather than as an afterthought.
Frequently asked questions
No. RT home setup, patient education, follow-up support, warranty coverage, and the included consumables are part of the purchase, not an add-on priced separately.
The mask and tubing that come with the unit at the time of purchase. It's the starting set you need to actually use the machine from day one.
No. The RT sets up, fits, and educates on the equipment your doctor already prescribed. Diagnosis and the original prescription stay entirely with your doctor.
Message us. Follow-up support covers exactly this, and it's a normal part of getting comfortable with a new machine, not something you're expected to solve alone.
