Privacy policy
How Respyre collects, uses, and protects your personal information, in compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act.
1. Who we are
Respyre is a home respiratory care provider based in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. We sell CPAP and BiPAP machines and related supplies, and provide licensed respiratory therapist (RT) home setup and care services.

2. What personal data we collect
Most of the personal information we hold, you give us yourself through our website forms. We also collect a limited amount of information automatically when you browse or use the site, which is explained in section 7. The information you give us includes:
- Name and contact details (name, email address, phone number): collected when you submit a teleconsult booking form, a contact form, or sign up for our newsletter.
- Health-adjacent information, such as whether you or a family member uses a CPAP/BiPAP machine and the general nature of your inquiry (e.g. "shopping for a CPAP for my father"): collected from teleconsult booking and contact forms to allow our licensed RTs to prepare for your consultation.
- Communication records: records of our exchanges by email, chat, or messaging if you contact us.
We do not ask for or intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or biometric data through our website forms. Search text is handled as described in section 7 and should not include personal or medical details. We do not collect children's data.
3. Why we collect your data
We collect personal data for the following specific purposes:
- To respond to inquiries: when you contact us with a question, we use your name and email to respond.
- To book and prepare for teleconsults: when you book a free RT teleconsult, we use your contact details and the information you provide about your situation to schedule the appointment and allow our licensed RT to prepare.
- To send our newsletter: when you sign up for our email newsletter, we use your email address to send you updates about Respyre's products, guides, and services. This is entirely optional and based on your explicit consent.
- To improve the website: we use limited analytics about visits and search use to understand what visitors need and improve the site, as described in section 7.
4. How we use your data
- Your personal data is used only for the purposes listed above.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
- We use service providers to run parts of our operation, such as the website analytics service described in section 7. They handle only what they need to provide that service to us, and only on our instructions.
- Personal data is shared with our licensed respiratory therapist partners only to the extent necessary to deliver the service you have requested (e.g. your name, contact, and relevant health-adjacent context for a teleconsult or home visit).
- When we email you a quote, invoice, or receipt, our system may record that the message was opened and that a link inside it was clicked, so we know the document reached you. We use this only to follow up on your own order.
- We may share data if required by law or by a valid legal process.
5. Your rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the following rights in relation to your personal data held by Respyre:
- Right to be informed: you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
- Right to access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction: you may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to erasure / "right to be forgotten": you may request that we delete your personal data, subject to our legal and legitimate retention requirements.
- Right to object: you may object to the processing of your personal data on legitimate grounds.
- Right to data portability: you may request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Right to lodge a complaint: you may lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) if you believe your data privacy rights have been violated.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at breathe@respyre.ph. We will respond within a reasonable time frame in compliance with the Data Privacy Act.
6. Consent
When you submit a form on our website, you are giving consent for us to use the information you provided for the purpose stated on that form, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing breathe@respyre.ph. The limited information collected automatically by our website analytics, including the search information described in section 7, is handled on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving our own website, and you can switch it off using your browser settings.
For the newsletter specifically: you will only receive marketing emails if you explicitly opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from the newsletter immediately.
7. Cookies and browser storage
We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage when you visit this website.
Website analytics. We use an analytics service to understand how people find and use our website, for example which pages get read, how visitors move between them, and which links get clicked. We use this to improve the site. To do this, the service places cookies in your browser and collects technical information about your visit, such as your device and browser type, a general idea of your location, the pages you open, and the actions you take on the page. It does not tell us your name, and we do not use it to look you up as an individual.
This analytics service is run for us by an outside provider, so that provider handles this technical information on our behalf, and it may be processed on servers outside the Philippines. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Site search. Our site has a search feature. We record what is searched for and how many results it returns in order to improve the site and understand what visitors need. Search terms are processed through Google Analytics. Before a search term is sent, we automatically discard search text that looks like an email address, a phone number, or a long personal message. Please do not enter personal or medical details into the search box.
You can turn this off. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, and clearing your site data for respyre.ph removes them. Blocking them does not stop you using the site or any of its features.
Site features and your preferences. Our own browser storage stays on your device and is used to make the site work the way you left it. It holds your light or dark display choice, your score and prompt setting from the sleep apnea self-check, the items in your basket, and a short-lived note if you start a pre-order. These stay on your device, are never sent to our servers, and you can clear them at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data.
If you would rather we did not collect analytics information about your visit at all, email us at breathe@respyre.ph and we will tell you how to opt out.
8. Data retention
- Inquiry and teleconsult data: retained for up to 2 years from the date of the inquiry, after which it is securely deleted unless we have an ongoing service relationship with you.
- Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Service records (where a machine was purchased and RT services delivered): retained for the period required by applicable law.
