ResMed does publish a power-consumption document for its Air10 series, but the document itself, and ResMed's AirSense 10 user guide, both returned an access error when we tried to open them directly. The secondhand summaries of that document we could find didn't agree with each other either, one citing 53 watts average and 104 watts maximum, another citing 90 watts maximum for what should be the same conditions. Rather than repeat a number we couldn't open ourselves, or split the difference into a figure nobody actually published, here's a clearly labeled assumption to work from instead: a CPAP machine, humidifier included, likely draws somewhere in the 30 to 60 watt range while running, more like a phone charger left on overnight than a major appliance. For the Yuwell units we carry, we also looked for a published wattage figure and did not find one; the same assumed range is a reasonable rough guide there too, not a spec.

A small battery backup or UPS built for medical devices can carry a machine through a short outage, the kind that ends before the candle's even burned halfway down. For longer outages, especially in areas where the schedule is more "whenever Meralco gets to it" than an actual timetable, a backup battery rated for the machine's wattage is worth asking your RT about directly, since not every UPS on a hardware store shelf is built to run one safely through the night.
